Guests may enjoy dining at four distinct restaurants onsite as well as the use of a full-service spa, a complete health and fitness center. Bonus points: Ideal for families with differing agendas, the resort provides complimentary shuttle service to the village at Squaw Valley.
 
Activities just for kids. Mountain Buddies™ is a year-round, fully supervised children's program for children ages of 4-12. With careful supervision by an experienced, creative staff, children choose from a variety of fun activities. Mountain Buddies™ is available for both day and evening sessions and includes arts and crafts, games, indoor sports, books and movies, and a kid-approved meal. The counselors decide on activities such as swimming, hiking, biking, or tennis in the summer or sledding, snowshoeing, ice-skating, or snow-play in the winter. 
 
Family activities during summer months.Lake Tahoe Kayaking In summer this is the spot to enjoy cool mountain air, outdoor recreation and relaxation. Activities include: swimming, whirlpool tubs, championship golf, tennis, hiking and backpacking, mountain biking, scenic bike path rides, lake kayaking, sailing, jet skiing, river rafting, horseback riding, fly fishing, fishing charters, boat tours on Lake Tahoe, hot-air balloon rides, Jeep tours, health and fitness center, spa and salon services. The resort's nature trail begins just beyond our chairlift and connects to a variety of trails around Squaw Valley's peaks. For an offsite adventure, sign up for one of our daily guided hikes up Granite Chief Trail or take a leisurely ride along the Truckee River bike path to Tahoe City. Bonus points: The Mountain Buddies kids' programs run throughout the year. The plunge pool and 120-foot waterslide are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and the three heated swimming pools are always available. Need to know: The resort offers rentals of mountain bikes for challenging single-track mountain biking and kid carts, tag-alongs and tandems for family outings. Resort at Squaw Creek's on-site Fly Fishing Center offers guided trips to nearby ponds and the Truckee River, which provide a tranquil setting for fly-fishing beginners and enthusiasts alike. 

Family activities during the snow months. In winter immerse yourselves in the mountain paradise surrounding the Resort at Squaw Creek through a variety of outdoor activities which include: downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice skating, snow shoeing, sledding, tubing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides and dog sled tours. Enjoy swimming, whirlpool tubs, health and fitness center, spa and salon services. Try broomball for family fun on the ice skating rink; grab the family go sledding on a designated hill near the Squaw Creek chairlift. Bonus points: Mountain Buddies kids' programs run throughout the year. Three heated swimming pools, a private ice skating rink, 18 kilometers of select cross-country skiing terrain, an amazing sledding hill and exclusive on-property chair lift making it easy to access Squaw Valley USA's world-class ski terrain. Need to know: Rent sleds, snow boots, helmets, figure or hockey skates at the Nordic Center. 

Go for the golf. The resort’s daily Family Golf Special begins after 5:30 pm or 6 pm, depending on time of season. Families may play a quick and easy game of golf on Resort at Squaw Creek's front nine holes from the family tees. The cost is $45 per adult and free for children younger than 17 when accompanied by an adult plus rental clubs are half-price. For more time on the greens during the day junior rates are available. 
 
Value added:Squaw Creek Spa The Spa at Squaw Creek is north Lake Tahoe's most luxurious spa facility. Remodeled to reflect the beauty of the Squaw Valley area, the spa radiates with natural colors, materials and textures. Throughout the spa area water features lend the soothing sound of cascading water and birch tree trunks emerging from river-rock bases reach toward the ceiling bringing the outside inside and creating privacy and solitude.
