North Carolina: Pinehurst, Pinehurst Resort - Making Family Golf Connections Easy. 
A new partnership with U.S. Kids Golf and Pinehurst Resort will extend their affiliation through 2013. This agreement will enable the continuation of the very successful and prestigious U.S. Kids Golf World Championship which has been held at the world renowned Pinehurst Resort the last three years.
Through this partnership extension, U.S. Kids Golf will also hold the U.S. Kids Golf Teen World Championship, along with the newest experience, a one day Parent/Child event which will be held in 2009 at Pinehurst Resort on the Monday between the Teen World Championship and the World Championship.
“Along with the Parent/Child tournament, we are developing a new World Parent Child Championship,” said Dan Van Horn, founder of U.S. Kids Golf. “That event will begin in June 2010 and is a natural extension of our Parent/Child event at Pinehurst after our research showed a wonderful interest in this type of tournament.”
“We are pleased to partner with Pinehurst Resort and their championship courses for our tournaments,” continued Van Horn. “From past events, we know the excellent caliber of players that earn the right to compete, and we are excited about the new tournaments that we have planned with Pinehurst.”
Also in the planning stage is a collaborative effort between Pinehurst and the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation to establish a U.S. Kids Golf Local Tour. The Pinehurst Local Tour will consist of eight events which will be held exclusively on the Pinehurst Courses. U.S. Kids Golf currently hosts 44 Local Tours that operate throughout the year, across the country.
The partnership announcement additionally includes new joint promotions including a family-friendly, co-branded logo to designate “Family Tee” markers that will be permanently installed on seven of the eight Pinehurst courses (excluding #2). The Family Tee markers are a part of the U.S. Kids Golf Family Course program that shortens a course that is aimed to make golf a more enjoyable experience for young and beginning golfers alike.
The two companies have agreed to develop the first ever U.S. Kids Golf Learning Center facilitated at the Resort. The Learning Center will operate June through August and will feature the expertise of the Pinehurst golf teachers and the Learning Curriculum developed by U.S. Kids Golf.
