Wyoming: Yellowstone National Park – Geysers and Grizzlies. Hike into Yellowstone's backcountry, through the rainbow spray of a thundering waterfall and a shooting geyser. Raft a playful stretch of the beautiful Yellowstone River, perfect for beginners. Wind your way along a trail high into the Montana Rockies on horseback alongside a real-deal 4th generation cowboy, keeping an eye out for eagles, elk, bison and wolves. And when night falls, relax and recharge with a soak in a soothing hot spring and watch as Old Faithful erupts under a blanket of stars before calling it a night in the comfort of your historic inn or resort. Kids go crazy for: The mineral hot spring-fed pool at Chico Hot Springs Resort where they gather for their own private pizza party while parents have a romantic, adult-only candlelit dinner in the historic dining room.

California: Yosemite National Park – Trails and Tall Trees. Hike forest trails, climb granite domes and feel the mist of thundering waterfalls against your cheeks. Learn the basics of rock climbing with the help of our professional instructors. Discover how Yosemite Valley was formed and how many kids it takes, hand in hand, to circle the Telescope Tree. Top off your day in the tranquility of the Mariposa Sequoia Groves on Mawona Point with a slice homemade chocolate cake and a dollop of sugary-sweet whipped cream before returning to the comforts of the Tenaya Lodge, your 4-Diamond resort and spa. Kids go crazy for: The huge trees! It takes 15 kids and parents, hand in hand, to barely encircle one of the Giant Sequoias they visit.

Arizona: Grand Canyon National Park – Canyon Trails and a Havasupai Family. Hiking Grand Canyon HavasupaiTrek along narrow side canyons, through underwater grottos and past gardens of ferns and watercress, pausing to soak up the awe-inspiring overlooks of the Grand Canyon as you make your way to your Havasu base camp, accessible only by foot. Visit the Native American village of Supai, the most remote village in the country, where the U.S. mail still arrives by packhorse. Pause for a dip at the base of the 100-foot Havasu Falls and learn how the native Havasupai have co-existed with nature for generations in such a remote, untouched landscape. Kids go crazy for: The natural Jacuzzi-like tubs created by the cascading waterfalls and Travertine limestone pools of Havasu Creek.

Alaska: Kenai Fjords National Park – Glaciers and Wildlife. Hike to the edge of an active glacier. Explore tide pools, brimming with life. Bike past thundering waterfalls along forest paths and kayak protected bays in search of whales, seals and puffins. Sail on a nature cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park and come nose to nose with tidal glaciers and exotic marine life. Skip stones on Fox Island and learn about wildlife recovery at the Alaska Sea-Life Center. Top off the day with a tasty s'mores, telling stories around a bonfire under an Alaskan midnight sun. Kids go crazy for: The long hours of daylight. With Alaska's midnight sun, it's never too dark to paddle, hike and play long after dinner.

Wyoming: Grand Teton National Park - Bull Moose to Bucking Broncos. This vacation will deliver WOWS and not just from your kids. Watch the meadows and look for bull moose; observe a mother wolf nursing a litter of four big-eared pups; listen to Yellowstone River's thundering 308-foot waterfall; enjoy a rodeo with real cowboys riding real bucking broncos; get your picture taken under the famous antler arch in Jackson's town square; gaze at an endless star blanket.Grand Teton Horseback Riding Kids go crazy for: Seeing enormous Bull Moose under the towering Tetons during the day and bucking broncos under the lights that night at the Jackson Hole rodeo.

Here's the scoop. Austin-Lehman Adventures manages all of the arrangements for its selected destinations that include iconic regions of North, Central and South America as well as southern Africa and Europe. Small groups are limited to 12 guests (18 on family departures where they add an extra van and guide). Rates include first-class accommodations, most meals and beverages, expert guides, park entry fees, multisport activities such as hiking, biking, rafting, horseback riding and more, ground transportation and luggage service.
