Caribbean: USVI, Maho Bay Resort - Earth Friendly, Family Friendly, and Fun.
On the tranquil island of St. John there is an exceptional earth friendly resort complex that has been making news for more than two decades. Maho Bay proves that a resort can be exceptional and earth friendly at the same time.
The Maho Bay family includes Maho Bay Camps, Harmony Studios, Estate Concordia Studios and Estate Concordia Eco-tents. The newest of the four sister resorts has amenities that combine simplicity with the most up to date, sustainable and site sensitive technologies that are redefining ecotourism. Located on the dramatic southeastern side of St. John, these high-tech structures provide our guests with comforts for the body and soul. These are some of the most spectacular surroundings for which the USVIs and St. John are well known. The "eco-tents" are similar to the tent cottages of Maho Bay Camps. They provide more creature comforts and conveniences with private toilets, hot water showers, solar energy, and more elaborate kitchen facilities in each unit.
After more than 25 years of pioneering research and experimentation, they continue to provide a positive, educational ecotourism experience for our guests on St. John while furthering the principles of profitable, environmentally sensitive tourism. Prices vary by season.
For example: from mid April to mid December prices begin at $105 / night, double occupancy with $15/night/ person, additional guests in the same unit. From mid December to mid April price begin at $115 / night, double occupancy (except for the month of February which has its own slightly higher rates).
Maho Bay Camps proved to be so popular that they have added Harmony Studios and now have a sister resort, Estate Concordia Preserve which includes Concordia Eco-Tents and Estate Concordia Studios. Both eco-resorts are based on the same idea, creature comforts for all creatures. Each facility on St. John (the least populated of the US Virgin Islands) has its own comfort level, from basic to more luxurious. Each is built on the same philosophy; that environmental sensitivity, human comfort and responsible consumption are all compatible and can also enhance your vacation experience. Maho Bay Camps, Inc.
