Hawaii: Kauai, Island Gulf Course Offer Three Family Vacation Golf Deals.  If golfing is your family “thing” and you are looking for a way to keep your family together on the greens then checkout three ways to golf together on Kauai.
“Free For Fall” campaign at the Kauai Lagoons. Junior golfers ages 6 to 15 can play the renowned Kauai Lagoons Golf Club for free and receive free rental clubs when playing with a paid adult. This program runs from August through December. Kauai Lagoons was voted of the “The Top 50 Resort Courses” worldwide by GolfWorld magazine in its "2009 Readers' Choice Awards and holds a “Extraordinary to Perfection” rating on the Zagat Survey. Marriott also offers a one day family golf event, designed to encourage families to learn and play together. These Family Golf Festivals feature an afternoon of free golf instruction as well as clinics, activities and interactive golf games. Additionally, after 3:00pm on Family Golf Festival days damilies and children can play golf for free - together!
Kauai Lagoons is adjacent to the Kauai Marriott at Kalapaki Beach, which was recently honored in the Summer 2010 edition of Celebrated Living as one of the Top-10 Resorts in Hawaii and was also listed on Conde Nast Traveler's list of the Top-15 Hawaii Golf Resorts. In June 2010, the resort added on to the already largest single-level swimming pool in the Hawaii with a Kids’ Pool section, which features small water fountains. Also, a Kids’ Club geared toward teenagers has also been enhanced with TVs, Wii games, computers, air hockey tables and other outdoor recreation activities.

The annual Kids Play Free program begins in June at Puakea Golf Course and runs through August. During the summer months, kids younger than 17 may play the course for free after 4:00pm when accompanied by a paying adult. From opening to 1:00pm Junior golfers (7-17) play for $18, and Junior golfers are invited to play 9 holes, or twilight golf, for just $9.
Puakea Golf Club, which is owned by AOL co-founder Steve Case, is consistently rated a favorite among Kaua’i golfers in local media outlets. Architect Robin Nelson used the natural layout of the land when he planned this layout, testing golfers of all levels and treating them to beautiful views of Mt. Ha'upu – where Jurassic Park was filmed - and deep lush ravines on several holes.

Makai Golf Club Free Play to Juniors.
The Makai Golf Club at The St. Regis Princeville Resort is making a great deal even better for junior golfers. On the heels of the Troon Family Golf program announcement that allows juniors to play free after 3 p.m. when playing with an adult at more than 60 Troon facilities across the U.S., the Makai Golf Club is taking the program one step further. Juniors age 15 and and younger play free of charge any time, any day with no 3 p.m. restriction. Juniors ages 16 and 17 receive 50% off green fees. Here's the deal. To qualify for this offer, each junior player must be accompanied by a paying adult (one free junior per one paying adult). All junior players can also use complimentary Callaway rental clubs while on the course.
The Makai Golf Club reopened in 2010 after an extensive 15-month renovation. The renovation was part of a $100-million rebranding/renovation of The St. Regis Princeville Resort. All 252 rooms, which now include 51 ocean-view suites, were remodeled and the new 10,000-square-foot Halelea Spa was also unveiled. The St. Regis Princeville Resort was also included on Celebrated Living’s Top-10 Hawaii Resorts list.
