Advice: USA/Canada - For Summer Family Vacation Bargains Just Look for the Right Coupons.526NickSpongeBobRoom Why pay more nobody else is? There are plenty of deals, discounts, and coupons available online - some good, some not so good. I am always skeptical – nothing is free.  But one additional resource has appeared on my radar screen – the Entertainment Passbook 2010 and it has obvious value.

Here’s the scoop. If you already know about the passbook then never mind but if you, like I, have been out of the loop The Entertainment Passbook  is filled with oodles of deals and offers useful locally as well as throughout the US and Canada.

Coupons annoy me. I admit I cannot manage the coupon concept very well. I want things to be easy with no gimmicks. I am also not organized enough to remember the who, what, or when for point of sale savings. So, I am not the typical user of the Entertainment Passbook. But as I browse through the Fort Worth addition of this year’s book I am impressed. Since the last time I used one of these books (that would be January 1998) a few things have changed. First there’s an entire section dedicated to travel. In addition to the actual paper passbook discounts there is also a plastic membership card associated the passbook and a website location www.entertainment.com that displays deals and provides access to hundreds of additional local printable coupons and online shopping discounts not found in the Passbook. The amount of useful discount coupons available is impressive.

I am surprised and impressed. 526RainForestCafeOn my first pass through the book I discovered for Nickelodeon Family Suites, an online hotel stay rebate worth $250, impressive discounts for a long list of hotels and resorts worldwide, plus discounts for rental cars, and Super Shuttle. Discounts on dining options include Buca Di Beppo, Smoothie King, Marble Slab Creamery, Carvel, Baskin Robbins, Sonic, Dominos, Pizza Inn, Rain Forest Café, Planet Hollywood and the list goes on. Just for fun I found meaningful savings at plenty of golf courses and mini golf locations, ice skating and roller skating spots, climbing walls, theatres and movie theaters plus big names including, Border’s Books, Young Chef’s Academy, Legoland, Medieval Times, Ripley’s Believe it or Not – you get the picture. I am surprised and impressed. So I feel an obligation to pass along information about ways to save.

Just the facts, please. The Entertainment Passbook offers thousands of discounts that can help families stay within their budget and while enjoying much-needed time off.  With offers on more than 53,000 hotel properties worldwide, partnerships with top car rental companies, and an airline partnership with American Airlines, an Entertainment® Membership helps promote family togetherness and responsible spending while on holiday.  An Entertainment® Membership includes the well-known Entertainment® Book and online access to additional savings at entertainment.com.  Entertainment® members can enjoy guaranteed-lowest rates on hotels, as well as free upgrades and discounts on car rentals from major rental agencies.

Real family vacation value. In addition, Entertainment® offers coupons for local attractions in more than 150 locations in North America, and Puerto Rico from dining and shopping to movies, sports events and a host of other fun activities.  Vacationers can purchase an Entertainment® Book for their destination city, or go to eol.entertainment.com to purchase a monthly subscription to access local coupons for their vacation spot. Using Entertainment® discounts, a family of four can expect to save over $400 on a three-day weekend trip to top U.S travel destinations through the use of air, hotel, rental car, restaurant and attraction offers.

Make it happen.  Even now though it is mid summer getting hold of a book could make a diference in the family budget because the savings are real and the website offers smokin' deals on select destinations so  you could do a test run before the 2011 Entertainment Passbook is released.
