The city offers a comfortable, beautiful urban space for a city adventure with kids. It isn’t overwhelming as perhaps New York or LA could be yet, it offers a rich mix of cultural choices to inspire, entertain, and educate. Without blinking I can think of three things worth the trip. I love the Coterie Theatre because they have defined entertaining youngsters and sharing excellence with children is always a joy. Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead is living history at its best with the added bonus of an old-fashioned general store as well as an ice cream parlor. And perhaps the crowning glory of the city – Union Station home to Science City’s Dino Lab, the KC Rail Experience, and extreme screen 3D movie theater. I guess that’s actually six. Bonus points:
If water park time is essential the city delivers at Worlds of Fun, Adventure Oasis, and Summit Waves. Kansas City for Less.
