Created for the rock hound in your family – the newest family activity at Jellystone Parks™ is gem mining. Selected locations have a gem mining sluice - a narrow trough of circulating water. Participants purchase a bag of mining sand enriched with gems, fossils, and emeralds and rubies from all over the world. (Don’t count on the emeralds or rubies.to offset your vacation expenses.) During the panning process water washes the sand away and discoveries are made. Bonus points:

Almost all Jellystone Parks™ have mini-golf courses, some with nine holes and others with 18 all with water traps and themed challenges.
