Summer Family Adventure program is the quality and variety of expert-led programs suitable for families to share. Choices span the gamut of summer fun and include: golf, tennis, fishing, water skiing, ziplining, or circus activities. More sedate options include butterfly counting, stargazing, bird watching, and workshops about photography, gardening, or horticulture.
No two vacations will be the same. The Summer Family Adventure program allows families to customize their vacation and provides each family member an active, enjoyable getaway tailored to their own interests. For example: Guests of try behind-the-scenes tours of Callaway Gardens, hiking on trails, bicycling, or gardening workshops. Golf lessons are offered on Callaway Gardens’ world-famous golf courses or guests can take circus and acrobatic classes from The Florida State University Flying High Circus. Families who return year after year treasure the traditions such as enjoying muscadine grape ice cream to singing the Callaway Kid Camp Song.
Seven-Day Summer Family Adventure. This year the seven-day adventures are available each week from June 2 through August 4. The seven-day Summer Family Adventure vacation package includes: private two-bedroom cottage; day camp for children and teens ages 3 to 17; children’s activities including arts and crafts, swimming, miniature golf, circus activities, and outdoor adventures; teen activities including beach and water volleyball, a challenging ropes course, water skiing, tennis, a teen center, game room, teen dance, golf clinics and canoe trips. Plus parents and adults can enjoy rounds of golf on Callaway Gardens’ courses; try exercise classes, tennis, fishing and even circus skills. During summer evenings families may spend time together with bingo, beach activities, marshmallow roasts, miniature golf, bike rides, and star gazing.
Bonus points: For an extra thrill check out the TreeTop Adventure featuring ziplining aerial challenges for all ages. For foodies there’s a Farmers Market featuring locally, regionally available food, flowers and more.

Editor's note: I love butterflies and gardeneing so Callaway Gardens is my kind of place - very green and quiet but never boring. If you are considering a summer vacation in the southest Callaway Gardens needs to be at the top for one reason - it is peaceful. Yup , just imagine peaceful and family vacation in one place. The the woods, winding roads, the lake, gardens, and general calm of the complex makes for an ideal atmosphere fo runwinding and recharging. It's easy to navigate the resort and the number of options for families is endless. It is also a place to do everything or sit on the porch and whatch the kids and grandkids do everything. My husband and children claim the golfing if mighty fine. And I know from friends that the circus and acrobatic classes are ideal for competitive teens. Even better, now ziplining has been added to the fun.
