Tennessee: Pigeon Forge, Be Part of a Christmas Winter Wonderland Aboard the RMS Titanic.
In addition to festive decor and lively entertainment it will be snowing again this holiday season in Pigeon Forge at the Titanic Museum as part of the annual holiday celebration.
Here’s the scoop. Beginning in late November the museum attraction will be providing real snow as part of the festivities to honor the lives of the 2,208 passengers and crew of the Titanic. They will be using the same snow-making equipment found at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and in Disney’s Celebration each holiday season. Plus the entire ship will be adorned with garlands and festive décor typical of the Edwardian era. Visitors will be encouraged to exchange greetings with the jolly Titanic crew and enjoy the twinkling lights glittering lights and music.
Bonus points: The gift shop will be open every day and will be offering hundreds of unique Titanic Christmas gift and collectibles.

Remembering when. Almost everyone remembers the tragic demise of world’s most famous luxury liner, Titanic. The Titanic Museum attraction in Pigeon Forge provides visitors with a chance to investigate and pay tribute. For a few hours visitors become passengers and experience what it was like to climb the grand staircase, walk the ship’s corridors discovering parlors and cabins filled with more than 400 artifacts directly from the original ship and its passengers. The interactive experience invites guests to touch a real iceberg, reach hands into 28-degree water, and attempt to balance on the sloping decks of a sinking ship – the RMS Titanic.
Making it real. To make the experience memorable each guest boarding the ship receives the boarding pass of an actual Titanic passenger or crew member to accompany them on the self-guided tour. The stories are both factual and unique supported by hundreds of artifacts making the tragedy more real. Wait for it! In Pigeon Forge visitors are invited to be part of the Rose Petal Tribute for the Titantic. From now until April 10, 2012 guests may honor the passengers and crew of the fallen Titantic. For the first time ever, ship guests will be given an actual rose petal that will then be placed into a memorial case. On April 10, 2012, case and its contents will be taken out to sea by the Coast Guard and dropped at the site where the Titantic was lost 100 years ago.
