Kids Ski Free or Almost Free All Season Long in Northeast US. When the snow fall in the Northeast resorts get ready to welcome snow bunnies and their parents with special benefits, and this season's ‘kids ski free’ programs in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont look promising. Hunter Mountain, New York Kids Ski Free.

Here’s the scoop.
It’s true nothing is absolutely free but many ski resorts offer unique savings for parents or grandparents who plan to ski with their young companions. From our own research and reader feedback we have assembled a list of ‘Kids Ski Free’ or almost free offers in New England. The best bet is to checkout your favorite mountain location for the most current ski deals but if you are looking for something new our short list has several options for winter family fun at a savings.

New York: I SKI NY for free.
New York State has more than 50 participating ski resorts offering vacation savings and extra benefits for families all season long. Here’s the deal. ISKINY Free for Kids Passport enables 3rd and 4th graders (from anywhere not just state residents) to ski free, learn to ski, or snowboard at a participating mountain location. WinterKids in Maine.
The WinterKids website presents plenty of options for savings beginning with the WinterKids Passport which offers free and discounted tickets, lessons, and rentals at 50 areas with the state. Here’s the deal. All 5th, 6th, and 7th graders in Maine are eligible. The savings includes downhill and cross country skiing as well as ice skating and snow tubing. Bonus Points: The WinterKids FunPass offers kids from preschool through 4th grade the chance to try cross country skiing and snowshoeing on at dozens of locations throughout the state – for free. Maine: Ski Black Mountain for free.
Black Mountain Ski Resort near Rumford is a family-affordable ski area offering fun for the entire family. The complex offers Alpine ski and snowboarding as well as a world class Nordic skiing facilities. Here’s the deal. Maine students in K, first, or 2nd graders ski for free all season long. Plus ‘Super Seniors’ (age 75 and older) also ski for free. Bonus Points: All Alpine Season Pass holders also receive a free Nordic Season Pass. Details: (207) 364-8977 or 

New Hampshire: Ski Bretton Woods.
The Mount Washington Bretton Woods s complex has ‘Family Interchangeable Tickets’ – two tickets for one price enabling mom and dad to share one ticket switch off time with kids. Vermont: Killington Resort Kids Ski Free.
Killington in the heart of the Green Mountains of Central Vermont is the largest ski and snowboard resort in Eastern North America. Here’s the deal. Kids ages six to 12 and younger ski free and ride free all season long when parents pre-purchase (prior to arrival) a 5-day or longer lift ticket. The offer is for one free child per paid parent lift ticket and some blackout dates apply. Bonus Points: Kids ages five or younger always ski and ride free when accompanied by an adult. Vermont: Ski Okemo.
In 2013 Ski Magazine ranked Okemo fourth in the East for family programming; Frommer’s named Okemo one of the top five best ski resorts for families, and Okemo’s snowmaking quality and coverage always gets high marks. Vermont: Ski Stowe.
From beginner slopes and a menu of programs and lessons to the double, black diamond runs of Mount Mansfield Stowe offers something for everyone. Here’s the deal.
