Here’s the scoop. It’s true nothing is absolutely free but many ski resorts offer unique savings for parents or grandparents who plan to ski with their young companions. From our own research and reader feedback we have assembled a list of ‘Kids Ski Free’ or almost free offers in Utah. The kids ski/snowboard deals for Colorado, California, US Northeast, and Western US appear on separate pages. The best bet is to checkout your favorite mountain location for the most current ski deals but if you are looking for something new our short list has several options for winter family fun at a savings. 

Ski Snowbasin.
The Grizzly Kids Club, home of Old Ephraim, is the perfect spot to make your child’s first time snow experience comfortable. The fun for those kids not yet seven begins in Snowbasin’s Wildflower Meadow and progresses to Powder Puff Express Magic Carpet and the Littlecat beginner’s chair lift. Bonus Points: The legend of the friendly grizzly bear named Old Ephraim is part of the fun. The grizzly and his friends, Light-footed Daisy Deer, Surefooted Robbie Ram, Betsy Bobcat, and Ryan Rabbit support learning activities while managing the fun. Here’s the deal. Brighton Resort. A special program ‘Just for Kids’ offers young skiers and boarders ages four to 12 a variety of skills classes and a learner lift pass is included. Park City Mountain Resort. Signature 3 Program at Park City Mountain blends on-mountain instruction with fun, magic carpet practice, and indoor activities. It is available to little ones age three-and-a- half to five. Here’s the deal. Kids six or younger ski free all season with paying adult companion. Bonus Points: Sign your children up for lessons and you will receive 20% off equipment rentals at Park City Mountain Rentals. Snowbird Ski Resort. Chickadees – three-year-olds, and Kinderbirds – four to six year-olds thrive at Snowbird participating in one-on-one and private group lessons at the Mountain School and children age seven or older have plenty of ways to learn snowy mountain skills while having fun with other kids in their age group. Here’s the deal. Kids six or younger ski free all season long with paying adult companion and children 12 or younger ski free all season with paying adult companion during dates of stay at resort. Wait for it! If free skiing is not enough to make you head to the mountain, then maybe Snowbird’s Mountain Coaster may be just the ticket. The coaster is 3,120 feet of twists, turns creating the urge to scream and shout. The 160 foot vertical descent includes two horizontal loops, a tree-lined straightaway and then swooping turns back to the base station. Solitude Mountain Resort. Moonbeam Kids’ Program at Solitude’s Snowsports Academy focuses on fun, and learning through snow play, cartoons, games, and storytelling. Children five or younger have their own space  to play & ski  while ages five to 12 may join groups of children with similar skills and enjoy the mountain while having fun and practicing. Here’s the deal. Kids 13 or younger ski free all season with paying adult companion. A minimum two-night resort stay is required and one free kids’ ticket per paying adult, with a maximum of two free lift tickets per day per reservation.
