Here's the scoop.
It's no secret, I love zipling adventures for families. The fun spans three generations and always gives participants bragging rights. I have written about zipline adventures in Hawaii, Florida, Tennese, North Carolina, Colorado, Costa Rica, St. Lucia, and Ontario and most I have tested with my family or a lucky staff family member has enjoyed on my behalf. The latest on our soar and explore list is Ozone Zipline Adventures just north of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ozone Zipline Adventures has begun providing soar and explore adventures in Warren County, Ohio combining education and fun to energize any vacation. They operate the largest zipline in the Midwest offering a high-adventure canopy (tree-top) tour that is redefining eco-tourism in the area.  The canopy (tree-top) tour covers more than two miles of land and reaches heights of more than 150 feet. As participants of all ages soar from tree top to tree top, they are guaranteed to feel an unmatched sensation of speed and freedom. Bonus Points: Ozone Zipline Adventure offers riders two options for making memories.  The traditional tour which lasts three hours and the extended tour lasts more than four hours and includes extra lines.

The idea is to soaYMCA Camp Kern Bike Rides in Ohior and land; soar and land. The anticipation begins just after check-in with gear in hand as you proceed up the hill to the zipline staging area. The reality sets in once you are safely secured inside your state-of-the-art harness and clipped to the first line that marks the beginning of the two-mile long course. The process begins with one giant step – the launch that propels you towards the first landing area.  Along the way, you navigate nine sky bridges as you take-off and land on the 45-foot tall multi-level central zip tower which will act as a “zipline hub” for riders. At each landing area, your tour guide will explain about the history of the land – the ecology, the fossils, the trees, wildlife, and basic physics. Bonus Points: Riders will be zipping through the historic Little Miami River Valley which is filled with more than 10,000 years of history including limestone snake effigies and neighboring views of Fort Ancient, an ancient Native American settlement that is nominated for a World Heritage Site Designation.

Make plans to zip. Zipline reservations may be made online. Zipline tours go out rain or shine, but if the weather is extreme, they may cancel and reschedule.

Bike the river. Back on the ground discover more natural beauty with a bike ride along one of the three bike routes. Cruise along the Little Miami Trail for a scenic adventure including a trip into Waynesville, known as the “The Antiques Capital of the Midwest.” Bikers looking for that off–the-beaten-path experience can take the Lebanon Countryside trail into historical downtown Lebanon. Home to The Golden Lamb, Ohio’s oldest continuously operating business, plus more than 50 boutique stores, Lebanon has been named one of the “Top 100 Cities to Visit” by Midwest Living Magazine. Round out your bike trail experience along the Great Miami Trail where you can see the award-winning Franklin Murals.
