Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

What’s new for 2012?
Visitors to the theme park will be able to experience the horror of AMC’s blockbuster original series, “The Walking Dead,” in elaborately themed, haunted mazes. It marks the first-time Universal Studios has featured a television series at Halloween Horror Nights on both coasts.

The creative teams worked working with AMC and “The Walking Dead,” to create an authentic experience that is true to the Emmy Award-winning hit series. The haunted mazes on both coasts feature eerily authentic, elaborately designed, movie-quality sets that include some of the most iconic locations and scenes from the show. Mobs of undead walkers bring to “life” the vicious, hungry, zombies from the show.

Live the terror. The Walking Dead Universal experience puts visitors to Halloween Horror Nights in an incredibly horrific atmosphere allowing them to experience true, raw fear. Fans of the series will feel like they are literally walking in the footsteps of the show’s characters, experiencing many of the horrific events from the series. The complete experience features well-themed, disturbingly real, haunted mazes based on everything from film to nightmares. The streets and alleys are populated with hundreds of specially trained “scareactors” dedicated to making the experience feel real.

No two years the same. The entire Halloween Horror Nights event at Universal Studios Hollywood is re-designed each year. "Halloween Horror Nights" feature all-new mazes, a new "Terror Tram" backlot studio experience as well as terrifying new "Scare Zones." New attractions will include a "live" maze experience based on the "Saw" film franchise, per an agreement among Universal Studios Theme Parks, Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. Universal Studios Halloween Horror NightsThe "Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute" will also join the "Halloween Horror Nights" line-up in a live stage presentation of this classically edgy movie.
