Only at Fernbank Museum can you come face-to-face with the world's largest dinosaurs, explore the development of life on Earth through the landscapes of present-day Georgia, connect with cultures from around the globe, engage in a variety of hands-on exhibitions.

Look to the Stars.
Star Talk is conducted in, where else but the Star Gallery each Wednesday afternoon. Each episode matches the current astronomical events and where to locate them in the evening sky using the gallery’s fiber optic ceiling. Learn fascinating facts about the legends, lore and technology behind the 542 stars in the gallery.

Make your own discoveries. Within the Martha Hodgson Ellis Children's Discovery Rooms younger visitors are encouraged to explore and discover for themselves. One popular spot the Fantasy Forest engages 3 to 5 year olds in colorful and playful activities to explain camouflage, pollination and nature. Using the help of camouflage "magic vests," Farmer Giggle’s Garden, the Shadow Cave, Habitat Wall and Shady Swamp kids to learn about their environment and basic concepts of nature.  
Conduct your own Georgia adventure. Coca-Cola® Georgia Adventure showcases geographic regions of Georgia in interactive, colorful and imaginative ways. A Walk Through Time in Georgia, provides a bridge to future discovery. Ideal for six to 10 year olds, it is easy for kids to discover the diversity of Georgia's geography and environment as they fish in the Okefenokee Swamp, dock up at the Jekyll Island Pier, encounter native wildlife at Turkey Mountain.

Getaway with the Kids.
Fernbank has created a Regions of Georgia Travel Program enabling families to enjoy Georgia. The unique programs are led by Fernbank scientists and travel to distinct geographic regions. Each participant will receive a “passport” that will be stamped upon completing a region. Collect all 5 stamps and receive a certificate.
