The fun does not just include corn mazes, hayrides, pumpkins and apple cider. In Canada activities run the gamut from gemstone mining, pig races, and barrel-train rides to scary Ghouls Night at Heritage Park in Alberta and booming cranberries in BC. Nova Scotia offers luscious oatcakes and the chance to pick apples, pears and plums straight from the orchards. In Manitoba families have the chance to make their own scarecrows or try their luck with a pumpkin catapult.
